  • What it is: $4,000 grants from the National Association for Self-Employed

  • Who is eligible: Small business owners

Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO) – PayPal Empowerment Grants for Black Businesses Program

  • What it is: up to $10,000 grants for Black-owned businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19 and civil unrest.

  • Who is eligible: Black-owned businesses by an adult, earn an average annual revenue under $1 million, less than 10 employees, located in the U.S., founded prior to March 1, 2019

Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards

  • What it is: $100,000 grant for each of the 7 laureates (top business from each region) and $30,000 grant for each of the 14 finalists (2nd and 3rd runner-up businesses from each region)

  • What is it: an investment fund that strictly invests in minority and women-owned technology businesses

  • Who is eligible : women-owned and minority technology start-ups

fundwomen of color

  • What it is: a funding resource for diverse, early-stage entrepreneurs

  • Who is eligible: entrepreneurs who already have a business website and a business social media account, a compelling business pitch, and have their business located in the U.S.

Black Girl Ventures Pitch Competition

  • What it is: crowdfunding competition in which the founders makes a pitch to the audience giving donations and the founder with the most votes wins

Fearless Fund

  • What it is: invests in women of color led businesses seeking pre-seed, seed level or series A financing

  • Who is eligible: woman of color-led business, led by a high quality resilient management team with at least one full-time founder, have a sustainable competitive advantage, established C-Corporations, ability to scale rapidly and achieve strong returns for investors

Women Who Tech Grants Program

  • What it is: a series of grants supporting women-led tech startups during the pandemic

The Halstead Grant

  • What it is: annual grants given to emerging metal jewelry designers

COMCAST RISE

  • What it is: Founded as a way to help women, Black, Latine, Indigenous, and Asian small business owners during the pandemic, Comcast developed a comprehensive, multi-year plan to allocate $75 million in cash and $25 million in media over the next three years to fight injustice and inequality.

    • 500 grants totaling $5 million will be distributed as follows:

      • 100 small businesses in each city

      • Each business will receive a $10,000 monetary grant

  • Who is eligible:

    • Business requirements: 

      • Established business operations for 3 or more years.

      • 25 or less full-time and part-time employees

      • At least 51% owned and operated by someone who identifies as person of color, including Black, Indigenous, Hispanic, and Asian American owners, or a woman

The Entrepreneurial Spirit Fund by SIA Scotch

  • What it is: SIA Scotch Whisky donates a portion of sales to organizations that help support entrepreneurs within the food and beverage industry. Starting in 2021, SIA partnered with Hello Alice to award grants to numerous small businesses through The Entrepreneurial Spirit Fund.

    •  Eleven recipients will receive a $10,000 grant plus mentorship with the founder of SIA Scotch Whisky and a first-generation Cuban American, Carin Luna-Ostaseski, who knows what it means to overcome challenges to achieve entrepreneurial dreams.
